Audiobooks Narrators Coming Together

Audiobook Community gives back

Going Public In Shorts

I’m so proud to have been a part of this special project in conjunction with June is Audiobook Month (#JIAM).  The audiobook community found a way to give back and in support of  “Reach Out And Read” – a non-profit organization that advocates for childhood literacy.  This project was also in recognition of  “June Is Audiobook Month” #JIAM. It was truly a pleasure and an honor to be in the company of my esteemed colleagues and friends.

Check out my interview by a lovely Audiobook blogger: http://lakesidemusing.blogspot.com/    As soon as time permits, look out for me expanding on my adventures in Italia.

FYI: All short stories are still available for download and the proceeds will go to Reach Out and Read. Check out the other narrators when you have time. It’s a great way to show your support for childhood literacy.

Although #JIAM has come and gone OR if you’ve never listened to an audiobook… it’s never too late to start.  Perhaps you’ll drop me a note and let me know what you’re listening to.

June Is Audiobook Month (#JIAM 2012)- What Are You Listening To?

Posted in life with tags , , , , , , , on June 25, 2012 by Robin Eller

The month of June has been Audiobook Month. Oh time has not been on my side to post about this until now. Mamma Mia! There have been so many great posts promoting Audiobooks this month. Have you ever listened to an audiobook? I do have some favorite Narrators that I aspire to be like. I also hope to come close to recording as many books as they have been so fortunate to record: Dion Graham, Cassandra Campbell, Scott Brick, Johnny Heller, Katy Kellgren, Tavia Gilbert, Simon Vance, Simon Prebble, Grover Gardner, Robin Miles, Coleen Marlo, Mirron Willis, Hilary Huber, Kathe Mazur, Robin Sachs and the list goes on. My horizon has becoming brighter as I journey down the road as an Audiobook Narrator. One day I’ll be looking back at this post and having that “I remember when..moment.”

Here’s to books! If you haven’t listened to an Audiobook.. go ahead.. I dare you! Why not try one in support of Audiobook Month? There are still five days left in this month and there’s still the rest of the year to give a listen or two.. or even three! You might not like your first one. I’ll tell you a secret… I didn’t. However, I didn’t give up because I knew that I would find books and Narrators that I would enjoy listening to and I have. I salute my fellow Narrators: Thank you to those narrators who have paved the way for me to have become a member of a very special group. We love to tell stories and truly care about the way we tell these stories for the author.
