In Honor Of Women

I was going through some old messages in my email box and discovered that there were a lot of old messages. I found myself wondering why I kept these old email messages when most people can just read an email and then throw it out after making a reply. My justifiable answer: I’m holding on to these words of wisdom, advice or just something that may have touched my heart the very first time I read them and perhaps reading them again might resonate louder with me or not. When comparing an email to a letter; there is less clutter on my desk in terms of paper…. at least it appears to be. There is something special about reading a hand-written letter because they are so few and far between due to technology. The beauty of technology is that we don’t have to wait a day, or three or even a week for a letter to reach it’s destination. Okay, I digress. The clutter that once remained on my desk has found a new home in my email mailbox. Spring is gone to consider this task “spring cleaning.” I’ll just call it “post-spring cleaning” and clean out my mailbox these next few days. A dear friend sent these words to me. As I read it again, the words still ring true in times of my frustration and more importantly; where I am in my life at this very moment. I decided to post this as a reminder to myself. Ah-ha! There was a good reason for keeping this email after all. πŸ™‚


May there be peace within.

May you trust that

you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite

possibilities that are

born of faith in yourself and others.

May you use the

gifts that you have

received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content with yourself just the way you are.

Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing,

dance, praise and love.
